Doha — Pakistan Shaheens qualified for the final of the Rising Stars Asia Cup after a thrilling 5-run victory over Sri Lanka A in the second semifinal played in Doha.

Batting first, Pakistan Shaheens scored 153 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Ghazi Ghori remained unbeaten with an impressive 39 runs, while Muaz Sadaqat contributed 23. Ahmed Daniyal and Saad Masood added 22 runs each.

For Sri Lanka A, Pramod Madushan picked up 4 wickets, and Travin Mathew claimed 3.

Chasing a target of 154, Sri Lanka A fought hard but managed only 148 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs. Milan Rathnayake top-scored with 40 runs.

Pakistan Shaheens’ bowlers delivered a strong performance, with Saad Masood and Sufiyan Muqeem taking 3 wickets each to secure the narrow victory.

With this win, Pakistan Shaheens have booked their spot in the Rising Stars Asia Cup final, where they will face Bangladesh A on Sunday.
