Pakistan Shaheens Begin England Tour with Convincing Victory

The second match of the three-match ODI series will be played on July 25 at the Kent County Ground.

Canterbury: Pakistan Shaheens made a winning start to their tour of England by defeating the Professional County Club Select XI by 5 wickets in the first One Day match of the series.

Batting under pressure, captain Saud Shakeel and right-handed batsman Haider Ali both scored impressive half-centuries, guiding their team to victory after an early collapse.

“There was pressure when I came to bat as we had lost three quick wickets,” said Haider Ali. “My target was to build a solid partnership with Saud and stay at the crease for as long as possible.”

Haider also praised Saud Shakeel for his calm presence at the crease:

“I’ve played with Saud before; he’s always very supportive on the pitch.”

Despite challenging weather conditions, Haider remained focused and adaptable:

“The conditions were tough and batting wasn’t easy, but a good player adjusts to any situation.”
