Pakistan Sets 202-Run Target for Bangladesh in First T20 Clash
Bangladesh skipper Litton Das, meanwhile, stated that they are ready to adapt to new conditions.
Lahore – Pakistan has set a formidable target of 202 runs for Bangladesh in the first match of the three-match T20 series, being held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Winning the toss, Pakistan opted to bat first and posted 201 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Salman Ali Agha led from the front with a solid 56 runs, while Shadab Khan contributed a quick 48 and Hasan Nawaz added an aggressive 44 to bolster the total.
On the bowling front, Bangladesh’s Shoriful Islam claimed two wickets, while Mehidy Hasan, Hasan Mahmud, Tanzim Hasan, Rishad Hossain, and Shamim Hossain took one wicket each.
Speaking after the toss, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha expressed confidence in his team, saying, “All our players are in good form. We chose to bat first and hope the team lives up to expectations.”
Bangladesh skipper Litton Das, meanwhile, stated that they are ready to adapt to new conditions. “We are playing at a new venue, and if we had won the toss, we would’ve opted to bowl first as well,” he said.

Pakistan’s playing XI for the match includes Fakhar Zaman, Saim Ayub, Mohammad Haris, Captain Salman Ali Agha, Hasan Nawaz, and Vice-Captain Shadab Khan. Other players in the lineup are Khushdil Shah, Faheem Ashraf, Hasan Ali, Haris Rauf, and Abrar Ahmed.
Bangladesh will now chase a challenging total of 202 runs in their bid to take the lead in the series.
