Farhan Fifty Powers Pakistan to Fighting Total vs England

COLOMBO: (Web Desk) – In the Super 8 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup, Pakistan set England a target of 165 runs after scoring 164 for nine in their allotted 20 overs at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.

Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha won the toss and elected to bat first. The decision produced a competitive total on a surface offering assistance to bowlers at different stages of the innings.

The standout performance came from Sahibzada Farhan, who played a composed and impactful knock, scoring 63 runs off 45 balls to anchor Pakistan’s innings. His timely fifty helped Pakistan recover after losing wickets at regular intervals.

Among other batters, Babar Azam contributed 25 runs, while Saim Ayub scored 7 and Salman Agha added 5. Despite late-order pressure, Pakistan managed to push the total to a challenging score.

Pakistan made one change to their playing eleven for the crucial clash, bringing in Shaheen Afridi in place of Faheem Ashraf. England, meanwhile, went into the match unchanged.
