Pakistan recover from early jitters to post 269-9 in the second one-day international against South Africa.

Pakistan's lower-order batsmen stage a thrilling comeback against South Africa in a tense ODI match.

Mohammad Nawaz – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) – Pakistan staged an amazing fightback with their lower-order batting to score a competitive 269-9 against South Africa. After their main batsmen fell early, the team fought hard to set a challenging target in the second one-day international.

Choosing to bat first, Pakistan had a terrible start. Their top batsmen, including Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam, were dismissed cheaply, leaving the team in a difficult position at 22-3.

Young opener Saim Ayub and Salman Ali Agha then rescued the innings. They built a strong 92-run partnership. Ayub scored a solid 53, while Salman played a patient knock of 69 to steady the team.

Just as Pakistan seemed to be recovering, they lost more wickets and were struggling at 131-5. The game was slipping away from the home side at that point.
