Pakistan Pledges Digital Response, Stands Firm for Kashmir Liberation

LAHORE: (Web Desk) – Pakistan reiterated its unwavering support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, stating that the agenda of the 1947 Partition remains incomplete without the liberation of Kashmir. Speakers at a roundtable discussion organized by the Press Information Department (PID) Lahore on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day emphasized the need for the international community to uphold UN resolutions on Kashmir and to ensure the protection of human rights. They also stressed the importance of countering Indian propaganda through digital media and modern communication channels.

The roundtable, titled “Kashmir Dispute: Challenges to Regional Stability Between Two Nuclear Powers,” was hosted by PID Lahore Director General Shafqat Abbas and attended by prominent journalists, analysts, scholars, and experts, including Mujib-ur-Rehman Shami, Salman Ghani, Najm Wali Khan, Malik Salman, Tariq Ghori, Noorullah, Sajad Parvez, Dr. Fawzia Hadi Ali, Dr. Arsha Saleem Mir, and Malik Shakeel.

Renowned journalist Mujib-ur-Rehman Shami said Pakistan’s consistent and principled diplomatic efforts have kept the Kashmir issue alive on the global stage. He highlighted that Pakistan’s strategic and defense capabilities have maintained pressure on India and emphasized that February 5 is a day to renew commitment to the Kashmiri cause. Shami underscored that the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs, the Parliamentary Kashmir Committee, and the Azad Kashmir government must remain active and proactive in advancing the issue. He also cautioned against armed conflict, citing the Russia-Ukraine war as an example of the heavy human cost of war, while asserting that Pakistan is fully capable of defending itself if provoked.
