ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – The Government of Pakistan has once again increased the price of kerosene oil, issuing a fresh notification that raises the rate by Rs4.66 per litre.
Under the new pricing, kerosene will now cost Rs433.40 per litre, up from the previous Rs428.74. The revised rate has taken immediate effect, adding to the financial strain on consumers.

This latest increase comes shortly after a steep hike of over Rs70 per litre announced last week, marking a continued upward trend in kerosene prices. The repeated adjustments are expected to further pressure household budgets, especially among vulnerable groups.
The move also comes despite earlier assurances from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to keep petrol and diesel prices stable. While those fuels remain unchanged for now, kerosene has seen consecutive increases.
Kerosene is widely used by low-income households, particularly in rural areas, for cooking and heating. As a result, rising prices are likely to disproportionately affect those already facing economic challenges.
