Pakistan and Myanmar Commit to Deepening Ties Through Talks
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Pakistan and Myanmar reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation during high-level talks in Islamabad on Monday.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and Myanmar’s Foreign Minister Than Swe led delegation-level discussions at the Foreign Office. Ishaq Dar highlighted Pakistan’s longstanding friendship with Myanmar, emphasizing ties rooted in history and mutual respect.

He expressed Pakistan’s desire to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest through structured engagement and result-oriented initiatives, while wishing peace, stability, and prosperity for Myanmar ahead of its upcoming general elections. Myanmar’s Foreign Minister Than Swe expressed confidence that the meeting would pave the way for enhanced collaboration across multiple sectors. Both sides expressed optimism about further strengthening bilateral relations.
