Pakistan Minority Forum Celebrates 12th Anniversary, Honors Top Performing Students
Manzoor Masih Advocates for Inclusion of Christian Heroes in School Curricula
Islamabad: The Pakistan Minority Forum (PMF) marked its 12th anniversary with a ceremony to award prizes to students who secured top positions in classes five and eight. During the event, PMF Chairman Chaudhry Ashraf Farzand addressed the attendees, stating, “The key to any nation’s progress lies in the pursuit of knowledge and continuous effort.” He emphasized that Pakistan’s Christian community has always played a vital role in the country’s development, contributing significantly to both defense and civilian sectors.
Chaudhry Ashraf Farzand further encouraged the award-winning students, saying, “You are the pride of the Christian community and the architects of the future. Continue your education, pursue higher studies, and contribute to the development of this country and nation.”
At the event, Farida Sylvester Joseph, In-charge of Fatima Church Islam, also spoke, announcing the launch of a national preparation program for competitive exams. The program aims to help Christian youth succeed in national exams and serve the country.
Minority Member of the National Commission for Human Rights, Manzoor Masih, congratulated the PMF team, saying, “They have organized this event to recognize and encourage students who have excelled in the field of education.” He also shared that as a minority member, he had sent letters to provincial governments requesting the inclusion of Christian heroes in school syllabi up to the middle class. This initiative aims to raise awareness among Muslim youth about the contributions made by Christians in the country’s defense, healthcare, and education sectors.

The ceremony was also attended by PMF Patron-in-Chief Chaudhry Rashid Farzand, General Secretary Asif Jan, and other distinguished guests, who congratulated the students for their remarkable achievements. The event concluded with the cutting of a cake to celebrate PMF’s 12th anniversary and a prayer for the country’s security.
