According to sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will seek approval from the Government of Pakistan regarding participation in the tournament.

A private TV channel reported that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi are expected to hold an important meeting tomorrow, where options including participating in the World Cup and potentially refusing to play against India will be discussed.

Sources added that, after the inappropriate treatment of the Bangladesh team, Pakistan is also seriously considering withdrawing from the World Cup altogether.
