Pakistan Libya Military Meeting Strengthens Defence Ties

Libyan  & Pakistan – (Web Desk) – A high-level Pakistan Libya military meeting took place at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Wednesday. Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces.

Upon arrival at GHQ, the visiting dignitary was presented with a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned-out tri-services contingent. The ceremony reflected the importance both sides place on this growing military relationship.

During the meeting, both sides discussed regional security, defence cooperation, and ways to strengthen military ties between Pakistan and Libya. Topics included professional military training, security cooperation, and institutional engagement between the armed forces of the two countries.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s commitment to peace and stability. He stressed the importance of continued cooperation to deepen mutual understanding and strengthen defence relations with friendly nations.

Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar praised the professionalism and capabilities of Pakistan’s armed forces. He also acknowledged their positive role in promoting regional peace and security.

This meeting is part of Pakistan’s broader diplomatic and defence engagement with partner countries. Both sides agreed to explore further opportunities for collaboration in areas of shared interest.
