Pakistan-Iran business forum eyes $10 billion trade target

Business Reporter/NEWS DESK: ISLAMABAD: A joint Pakistan-Iran Business Forum was held in Islamabad, where Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan emphasized the need to boost cross-border trade between the two neighboring countries.
Addressing the forum, the minister said that significant progress has been made in finalizing a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Pakistan and Iran, which will provide a new framework for enhancing bilateral trade.He highlighted the deep-rooted brotherly relations between the two nations and assured that efforts will be made to encourage and facilitate border trade.
Jam Kamal Khan noted that the leadership has set an ambitious target to take Pakistan-Iran trade volume to 10 billion dollars. “By making full use of available opportunities, we are hopeful of achieving this goal,” he added.
