ISLAMABAD: In a significant move to curb human smuggling, the Pakistani government has imposed travel restrictions on over 52,000 individuals, according to sources. The restrictions affect Pakistanis deported from the United States, European countries, and Gulf nations, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
The Directorate of Passport and Immigration has placed the passports of these individuals on the Passport Control List (PCL), with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) receiving the updated list of restricted persons. The measures aim to address rising concerns over illegal migration and human smuggling.
