Pakistan-France forum boosts trade and investment ties

Pakistan-France Trade and Investment Forum strengthens bilateral business cooperation

PARIS: (Web Desk) A high-profile Pakistan-France Trade and Investment Forum was held in Paris, bringing together government officials, business leaders, industry experts, and representatives from trade bodies of both Pakistan and France. The forum aimed to strengthen economic ties, explore new avenues for cooperation, and highlight Pakistan’s trade and investment potential.

The event was organized in line with an understanding reached in 2024 between Emmanuel Macron and Shehbaz Sharif to foster a robust economic partnership. Over seventy companies from both countries participated, spanning sectors such as agriculture, information technology, textiles, energy, and tourism.

Mumtaz Zahra Baloch inaugurated the forum, highlighting Pakistan’s economic growth and positioning the country as an attractive trade partner for France. She outlined investor-friendly initiatives, institutional support mechanisms, and encouraged joint ventures and collaborative projects between French and Pakistani businesses.

The plenary session was followed by focused ‘Breakout’ and Business-to-Business (B2B) sessions, where participants explored concrete avenues for collaboration in textiles, agriculture and dairy, and information technology sectors.
