The squad, which will also represent Pakistan in the upcoming Tri-Nation Series, will play their first match of the tournament against New Zealand on February 19 in Karachi.
The list has been submitted to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, for approval, with an official announcement expected within the next couple of days.
The finalized squad includes the following players:
- Fakhar Zaman
- Mohammad Rizwan
- Babar Azam
- Salman Ali Agha
- Khushdil Shah
- Kamran Ghulam
- Abrar Ahmed
- Sufiyan Maqeem
- Shaheen Shah Afridi
- Haris Rauf
- Naseem Shah
Additionally, there is a possibility of including Tayyab Tahir, Mohammad Hasnain, and Abbas Afridi in the squad, depending on final assessments and conditions leading up to the tournament.
One of the key inclusions is Khushdil Shah, who has been in exceptional form during the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and is expected to replace Saim Ayub.
While the prospect of Shan Masood making the final squad seems slim, Imam-ul-Haq is strongly favored for inclusion based on his recent performances.
