Top Teams, Best Runners-Up to Qualify for AFC U23 Asian Cup Finals
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s U23 football team will face tough competition in the upcoming AFC U23 Asian Cup Qualifiers, scheduled to kick off in September 2025. Placed in Group G, Pakistan will compete against Iraq, Cambodia, and Oman in matches hosted in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The qualifiers will run from 3 to 9 September 2025, with each team playing three matches in a single round-robin format. Pakistan opens its campaign against Iraq on 3 September, takes on hosts Cambodia on 6 September, and concludes the group stage against Oman on 9 September. All matches will be played at a central venue in Phnom Penh, with kick-off times to be announced later.
According to the tournament rules, the top team from each group, along with the four best second-placed teams across all groups, will qualify for the final round of the AFC U23 Asian Cup, which also serves as a qualifier for the 2026 AFC U23 Championship.
