Pakistan Defeats Sri Lanka by 7 Wickets in 3-Nation T20 Series

Rawalpindi: In the third and final match of the Pakistan T20 Tri-Series, Pakistan delivered an impressive performance to beat Sri Lanka by 7 wickets.

Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat first, setting a target of 128/7 in 20 overs. Janith Liyanage top-scored for Sri Lanka with 41 runs, while other batsmen failed to make significant contributions.

Chasing the target, Pakistan displayed aggressive batting and reached the score in just 15.3 overs. Sahbaz Farhan played a brilliant innings of 80 runs, leading his team to victory. Saem Ayub contributed 20 runs and Babar Azam added 16, while Salman Ali Agha was dismissed early.

For Sri Lanka, Dushmantha Chameera took 2 wickets, while Liyanage remained unbeaten on 41. Other contributions included Perera 25, Mishara 22, Nissanka 17, Hasaranga 11, and Kusal and Kamindu Mendis 3 each, with Shanaka and Viyaskanth failing to score.

Pakistan’s bowlers also performed well, with Mohammad Nawaz taking 3 wickets, while Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, and Salman Mirza claimed one wicket each, effectively restricting Sri Lanka’s total.
