Pakistan Defeats Bangladesh by 37 Runs in First T20 at Gaddafi Stadium
With this win, Pakistan leads the series 1-0.
Lahore – Pakistan secured a commanding 37-run victory over Bangladesh in the opening match of the three-match T20 series, held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Batting first after winning the toss, Pakistan posted a competitive total of 201 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Captain Salman Ali Agha led from the front with a solid 56 runs, while Shadab Khan contributed 48 and Hasan Nawaz added 44.
In reply, Bangladesh struggled to chase the 203-run target and were bowled out for 164 runs. Captain Liton Das top-scored for Bangladesh with 48 runs, while Zakir Ali made 36 and Tanzid Hasan scored 31.
Pakistan’s bowling attack was led by Hasan Ali, who claimed five wickets in a match-winning performance. Shadab Khan took two wickets, while Khushdil Shah, Faheem Ashraf, and Salman Ali Agha took one wicket each.
For Bangladesh, Shoriful Islam picked up two wickets, while Mehidy Hasan, Hasan Mahmud, Tanzim Hasan, Rishad Hossain, and Shamim Hossain took one wicket each.
After the toss, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha expressed confidence in his side, stating, “All players are in good form. We chose to bat first, and I hope the team meets expectations.”

Bangladesh captain Liton Das noted that they were adapting to new conditions and would have bowled first had they won the toss.
Pakistan’s playing XI featured Fakhar Zaman, Saim Ayub, Mohammad Haris, captain Salman Agha, Hasan Nawaz, and vice-captain Shadab Khan, along with Khushdil Shah, Faheem Ashraf, Hasan Ali, Haris Rauf, and Abrar Ahmed.
With this win, Pakistan leads the series 1-0.
