Pakistan decides to lift ban on gold import and export
Ministry confirmed that no reports of gold smuggling have been received in recent months.
ISLAMABAD – The government has decided to lift the ban on the import and export of gold.
According to the Ministry of Commerce, a summary to remove the restrictions on gold trade will be sent to the ECC for approval.

The reports said that the ban on gold import and export was imposed in May this year due to complaints of smuggling.
However, the ministry confirmed that no reports of gold smuggling have been received in recent months.
