ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Pakistan Customs and the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan have officially begun electronic sharing of pre-arrival Customs information as of 22 January 2026, following a Memorandum of Understanding between the two administrations.
The initiative was facilitated by Pakistan Single Window (PSW), which enhanced the WeBOC system to allow Customs officers to access exchanged data for operational use. The improvements have streamlined the processing of Customs declarations, improved risk assessment, and reduced consignment dwell time at border checkpoints.

This integration is the first of several planned Customs data-sharing agreements with regional partners and supports Pakistan’s broader goals under the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program. The project aims to promote trade facilitation, strengthen Customs cooperation, and enhance digital connectivity, building stronger trade corridors linking South Asia and Central Asia.
The operationalization reflects the joint efforts of Pakistan Customs, PSW, and Uzbekistan’s State Customs Committee, marking a key milestone in regional digital trade cooperation and harmonized border management among CAREC member countries.
