Pakistan Cricket Team Departs for Sri Lanka T20 Series

Players who participated in the Bangladesh Premier League have already returned to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s national cricket team will begin its journey to Sri Lanka today to play the upcoming T20I series.

Sources say that Faheem Ashraf, Salman Mirza, and Naseem Shah Jr. will depart for Sri Lanka today, while the rest of the squad will reach Colombo from Lahore tomorrow.

Players who participated in the Bangladesh Premier League have already returned to Pakistan, and foreign support staff will travel directly to Sri Lanka. Shadab Khan, who played in the Big Bash League, will join the team in Sri Lanka after arriving from Australia.

The three-match T20I series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will start on January 7, with the second match on January 9 and the final match scheduled for January 11.
