Pakistan Strongly Condemns Israel’s Move Against Somalia’s Sovereignty
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s full support for Somalia’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity during the 22nd Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers. Addressing Israel’s recognition of Somaliland, Dar condemned the move as a direct violation of Somalia’s internationally recognized borders and stressed that such actions have no legal or political standing under international law.

He highlighted that Pakistan has raised its objections at the United Nations and warned that Israel’s actions threaten peace and security in the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea. Dar praised Somalia’s progress through democratic elections and recognized the sacrifices of Somali citizens and security forces in maintaining stability.
The deputy prime minister emphasized the importance of strengthening state institutions, ensuring transparent economic reforms, and providing humanitarian aid, particularly in Gaza. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to working with the OIC and Arab nations in support of Palestinian rights and self-determination.
