Pakistan Dominate Australia to Take 2-0 Lead in T20 Series

LAHORE (Web Desk) –  Pakistan secured a commanding 90-run victory over Australia in the second T20 match of the three-match series at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, taking a decisive 2-0 lead in the series.

After winning the toss, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha opted to bat first. The hosts posted a total of 198 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Salman Ali Agha was the standout performer with a brisk 76 runs.

Australia struggled in reply, being bowled out for just 108 runs in the 16th over, giving Pakistan a comprehensive win.

For the second T20, Pakistan made three changes to their playing XI. Usman Tariq, Faheem Ashraf, and Naseem Shah were included, while Shaheen Shah Afridi, Salman Mirza, and Fakhar Zaman were rested.

Pakistan’s Innings:
Pakistan’s innings got off to a shaky start as opener Sahibzada Farhan was dismissed for just 5 runs. Saim Ayub contributed 23 runs, while Babar Azam managed only 2 runs. Captain Salman Ali Agha played a responsible and aggressive innings, scoring 76 runs off 40 balls. Usman Khan also made a valuable contribution with 53 runs off 36 balls. In the final overs, Shadab Khan remained unbeaten on 28, and Mohammad Nawaz added 9 runs, boosting the total.

Pakistan had already taken a 1-0 lead in the series, having defeated Australia by 26 runs in the first T20. With this win, they are now on the verge of a clean sweep in the three-match series.
