Pakistan Clinch U-19 Asia Cup Title with Dominant Win Over India
This emphatic victory marks Pakistan’s first outright Under-19 Asia Cup triumph.
DUBAI: Pakistan lifted the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Under-19 Asia Cup trophy after registering a comprehensive victory over arch-rivals India in the final.
Chasing a massive target of 348 runs, the Indian team was bowled out for just 156, handing Pakistan a memorable win.
Earlier, Pakistan posted an imposing total of 347 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Sameer Minhas starred with the bat, smashing a brilliant 172 runs, including 17 fours and nine sixes. He reached his century in just 71 balls and finished the tournament as the leading run-scorer.
Other contributors included Ahmed Hussain with 56 runs, Usman Khan with 35, captain Farhan Yousuf with 19, and Hamza Zahoor with 18. Mohammad Siyam (13*) and Naqab Shafiq (12*) remained not out.

For India, Deepesh Devendran picked up three wickets, while Khilan Patel and Henal Patel claimed two wickets each.
India had won the toss and opted to field first against Pakistan.
Ahead of the final, Pakistan captain Farhan Yousuf had expressed confidence, stating that the team was fully prepared and determined to fight hard for the title.
Pakistan have previously won the ICC Under-19 World Cup twice but had not won the Under-19 Asia Cup outright before. In the 2012 edition, Pakistan shared the title with India.
