LAHORE — Pakistan has achieved a major milestone in technological innovation by establishing Asia’s first robotic library at Minhaj University Lahore, offering visitors a glimpse into a new era of automation in education.

The state-of-the-art facility blends artificial intelligence with robotics, redefining how readers access and manage books. From borrowing to returning books, every step in the library is automated — robots guide visitors to the correct shelves and assist in locating desired titles.

In addition to robotic assistance, the library is equipped with digital punch machines, staplers, and scanners, making it a fully integrated smart facility.

The foundation stone for this futuristic library was laid in 2019, and it was officially inaugurated in 2024. Currently, the library houses 10,000 books, with space to accommodate another 15,000 volumes.
