Pakistan Army Launches Freelancing Hub in Astore District

The Pakistan Army has launched a freelancing hub in Astore District, Gilgit-Baltistan, marking a major milestone for local youth development. Set up at the Government Boys High School, the center aims to provide students with access to digital skills training and online employment opportunities.
This initiative, led by the Pakistan Armed Forces in partnership with the Special Communications Organization (SCO), fulfills a crucial gap in digital resources in the area. The school’s Information Technology teacher emphasized the positive influence this platform will have on students’ future career prospects.
Local residents and youth have expressed their appreciation to the Pakistan Army and the Chief of Army Staff for making this resource available. The freelancing hub is expected to generate job opportunities for many young people in the district.
The creation of this freelancing center is part of a broader effort to improve digital literacy and boost economic opportunities in Gilgit-Baltistan, a region renowned for its scenic landscapes.
