RAWALPINDI: (Web Desk) – In a strong response to cross-border firing by Afghan Taliban forces and TTP militants, the Pakistan Army on Tuesday struck and destroyed multiple Afghan posts in the Chaman sector.
According to security officials speaking to 24News, key Taliban positions including Sarshan, Al-Marjan, and Edhi posts were successfully targeted along with other installations.
Officials stated that Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully committed to safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and countering threats posed by militant groups and their supporters. They added that Operation Ghazab Lil-Haq will continue until all its objectives are fully achieved.
Tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have worsened over the past year, largely due to Kabul’s failure to curb militant elements using Afghan territory to launch attacks inside Pakistan.
A day earlier, Pakistan Army forces had also carried out effective retaliatory strikes in the Angoor Adda area after Afghan Taliban fighters opened fire on civilians. The response resulted in the destruction of several enemy posts.
The unprovoked firing left three civilians injured, including two women, who were shifted to a hospital in Wana for medical treatment.

Security sources said Afghan forces have increasingly targeted civilian populations following repeated setbacks faced during Pakistan’s ongoing military operations.
Residents in border areas strongly condemned the attacks and urged the Pakistan Army to respond decisively to protect local communities.
