Pakistan and Russia Forge New Path in Railway Cooperation at SPIEF

Saint Petersburg:  On the sidelines of the 27th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Pakistan and Russia signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cooperation in the Railway Sector. The agreement, signed on June 7, 2024, marks a significant step forward in strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing infrastructure development.

The MoU aims to explore opportunities for implementing railway upgradation projects and other key initiatives in this vital sector. It also sets the stage for potential future collaboration between relevant companies operating within the railway industry, promoting and facilitating international cargo transport.
