Lahore: Pakistan and Malaysia Draw 4-4 in Thrilling Nations Hockey Cup Opener. In a dramatic opening match of the FIH Nations Hockey Cup in Poland, Pakistan and Malaysia played to a 4-4 draw. Abu Bakr’s last-minute penalty stroke secured the tie for Pakistan.

The match began with Malaysia dominating, scoring three goals in the first 11 minutes. Sari Fitri converted a penalty stroke in the fourth minute, followed by Abu Kamal doubling the lead two minutes later. Fazeel Sari then scored on a penalty corner, giving Malaysia a commanding 3-0 lead by the end of the first quarter.

Pakistan’s Abdul Rahman reduced the deficit in the second quarter, but Sari Fitri struck again in the 42nd minute, bringing the score to 4-1. Mohammad Sufyan responded quickly, scoring on a penalty corner to make it 4-2.

In the third quarter, Shahid Hanan’s beautiful goal brought Pakistan closer, setting the stage for a thrilling finish. The national team intensified their efforts, and in the final minute, a penalty stroke was awarded to Pakistan. Abu Bakr successfully converted it, equalizing the match at 4-4.
