Pakistan and Iran Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthen Bilateral Ties and Regional Cooperation
DPM/Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar Meets Iranian President in Islamabad
Islamabad, 3 August 2025 — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, met with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, during his official visit to Islamabad today.
Welcoming the Iranian President, Senator Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to its historic and brotherly relations with Iran. He highlighted the deep-rooted ties based on shared history, cultural heritage, religious affinity, and mutual respect.
President Pezeshkian expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s warm hospitality and consistent support. He reiterated Iran’s determination to enhance bilateral cooperation in diverse areas of mutual interest and looked forward to in-depth discussions with Pakistani leadership aimed at strengthening political and economic relations between the two neighboring countries.
