Punjab – (Web Desk) – The Punjab government has introduced the Pak ID mobile app, making vehicle ownership transfers faster and easier, now completed within just 48 hours. The app simplifies registration, buying, and transferring vehicles across the province.

The launch was officially announced by the Director General of the Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department, Punjab, from his office on Monday. This new system is designed to make vehicle services more convenient, transparent, and efficient for all owners.

With the Pak ID app, vehicle owners no longer need to visit excise offices for biometric verification. Both residents in Pakistan and overseas citizens can verify their identity from the comfort of their homes. Once verification and online payment of the required fees are completed, ownership transfers are finalized within 48 hours.

Officials said the digital platform will not only save time for millions of vehicle owners but also reduce opportunities for corruption, ensuring a transparent and accountable process.

The DG Excise noted that the initiative would significantly streamline ownership changes for approximately 26 million registered vehicles in Punjab, reducing delays and enhancing efficiency in public service delivery.
