Pak Army Denies Indian Claims of Cross-Border Attacks; Warns of Measured Response if Provoked
Pak Army Mocks Indian Claims, Calls ‘Proof’ Fabricated and Misleading
Islamabad, May 7, 2025 — Pakistan’s military spokesperson, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, strongly refuted recent Indian claims that Pakistan carried out attacks on 15 locations across India, calling them “fabricated and baseless.” Speaking at a joint press conference alongside Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) chief warned that any future action by Pakistan would be visible and loud enough for the world to recognize.
“If Pakistan attacks, it will neither need an announcement nor an explanation—its impact will be clear to the world,” said Lt. Gen. Ahmed Sharif. He criticized India for promoting war hysteria through its media, stating that such narratives belong to a theatrical fantasy rather than reality.
During the press briefing, Ishaq Dar confirmed that several Indian military drones had violated Pakistan’s airspace and were shot down by Pakistani forces. “These incursions into Pakistani territory, including attempts to target a military installation in Lahore, were effectively countered,” Dar stated, adding that 29 Indian drones have been downed so far.
He emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to the safety of its citizens, reiterating that the country reserves the right to respond to Indian aggression at a time and place of its choosing. “India cannot digest the fact that its drones and even warplanes have been downed. Their false narratives are an attempt to cover up their embarrassment,” Dar added.
The military spokesperson showcased video footage of intercepted drones, confirming that Pakistan has retrieved drone debris from multiple sites, while India was left to collect wreckage from its downed fighter jets.
Responding to India’s alleged evidence of Pakistani strikes, Lt. Gen. Sharif mockingly remarked, “At least they could have set fire to the dry field shown in their so-called proof.” He further questioned the logic behind Indian media’s doctored visuals, revealing that even recent damage in Amritsar was reportedly caused by Indian missiles.
“We’ve dealt with the menace of terrorism and the Khawarij insurgents through resilience and unity. Our people are not afraid, and the armed forces stand ready,” he concluded.

Lt. Gen. Sharif summed up Pakistan’s stance with a symbolic reference: “Earlier, we served tea; now we’ve sent it across,” alluding to the 2019 incident involving a captured Indian pilot.
