Pak Army conducts Air Ambulance rescue mission in Neelum Valley AJK

Pakistan army conducted an air ambulance rescue mission, saving a PWD operator who was seriously injured during an incident.

AJK: Pak Army conducts Air Ambulance rescue mission in Neelum Valley AJK. Public Works Department dozer operator Altaf Mughal was conducting a slide clearance operation at Sheikh Bela on Upper Neelum Valley Road. During the clearance operation, a tree fell on their dozer. As a result, the dozer lost control of the road and fell hundreds of feet into the Neelum River.   

Altaf Mughal suffered multiple injuries all over his body and his bones also fractured from multiple places. Altaf Mughal was immediately rescued and taken to the army field hospital established at Kiel where he was given first aid. 

Altaf Mughal was transported to CMH Muzaffarabad via special air ambulance per the directives of the Chief of Army Staff Secretariat due to the closure of Neelam Valley Road and his serious condition.

The patient was welcomed by PWD, the Pakistan Army, and government leaders on arrival in Muzaffarabad. He had successful surgery at CMH Muzaffarabad, and he is currently receiving healthcare from expert doctors of the Pakistan Army. 

Altaf Mughal is currently in much better health, and his family is thankful to the Pakistan Army for acting in time to save his life.

Four Pakistan Army soldiers were martyred when their truck fell into a river in Neelum Valley’s Changan area on Sunday. According to the Neelum police, the driver of the cargo truck of the Pakistan Army, which was travelling from Batrasi to Mandkaro, lost control of the vehicle and plunged into a deep gorge. As soon as the information about the accident was received, armed forces and civil rescue teams reached the spot and initiated a rescue operation.
