Islamabad: The 1st PTF Inter-Department Tennis Trophy 2024 witnessed thrilling matches as Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and Pakistan WAPDA emerged victorious in their encounters at the PTF Tennis Complex, Garden Avenue, Islamabad on Saturday.
In a dominating performance, Mohammad Abid of WAPDA showcased his prowess by defeating Ahtesham Humayun of SNGPL with ease, securing a comprehensive victory of 6-1, 6-1. Following suit, Aqeel Khan of WAPDA stunned Ahmed Babar of SNGPL, clinching the match with a scoreline of 6-2, 6-3. Khan’s strategic gameplay and precise shots proved to be the deciding factor in the encounter.
In another intense round-robin league match, Pakistan Air Force faced a tough challenge against Pakistan Army, ultimately emerging victorious with a score of 2-1. Yousaf Khalil of PAF displayed exceptional skill and determination as he defeated Abdullah Adnan of Army in straight sets with a score of 6-4, 6-2.
