PAF Trainer Aircraft Crashes Near Mardan, Two Pilots Embrace Martyrdom
The investigation into the crash is underway.
Islamabad: (Web Desk) – A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) trainer aircraft crashed near Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Mardan district during a routine training sortie on Monday, resulting in the martyrdom of both pilots on board.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the aircraft went down near Mardan while conducting a routine training mission.
The pilots who embraced martyrdom were Flight Lieutenant Muhammad Qasim Abdullah of the Pakistan Air Force and Lieutenant Taha Abbasi of the Pakistan Navy.
ISPR stated that Air Headquarters has constituted a board of inquiry to determine the cause of the accident.
Following the tragic incident, Syed Asim Munir, the Services Chiefs, and all ranks of the Pakistan Armed Forces expressed profound grief over the loss of the two officers and extended heartfelt condolences to their bereaved families.
