PAF Enhancing Capabilities in Space, Cyber, and Electronic Warfare: Air Chief

ISLAMABAD – Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu has reaffirmed the Pakistan Air Force’s (PAF) commitment to modernising its defence capabilities in response to evolving threats, with a particular focus on space operations, cyber technologies, and electronic warfare.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the day began with special prayers and Quran recitation across all PAF bases. The prayers honoured the martyrs of the 1965 and 1971 wars, as well as those who have laid down their lives in the line of duty since Pakistan’s independence.
The central ceremony was held at Air Headquarters in Islamabad, where Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu was the chief guest.
Tribute to Martyrs
In his address, the Air Chief paid glowing tribute to the nation’s martyrs, describing Martyrs’ Day as a solemn reminder of the armed forces’ courage, sacrifice, and professionalism. He emphasized that the sacrifices of these heroes are a source of inspiration and will continue to guide future generations.

Operational Achievements and Future Vision
Air Chief Sidhu highlighted the PAF’s operational successes in Marka-e-Haq and Bunyan-un-Marsoos, calling them a testament to the force’s combat readiness and unwavering resolve.
He stressed that the PAF is actively advancing its capabilities in space operations, electronic warfare, cyber defence, and indigenous production, aiming to ensure the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in an increasingly complex strategic environment.
Solidarity with Kashmir
On this occasion, the Air Chief also expressed solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), reiterating Pakistan’s moral, political, and diplomatic support for their just struggle.
