Overseas Pakistani Lambardar Javed Iqbal Abbasi Accuses Revenue Officials of Collusion in Land Grabbing
Abbasi Slams Inaction Despite Proof of Land Record Tampering
Islamabad (Special Correspondent) – Prominent overseas Pakistani and dual national Lambardar Javed Iqbal Abbasi has leveled serious allegations against the Revenue Department, accusing officials of colluding with land grabbers and willfully violating court orders.
Addressing the media, Abbasi claimed that his ancestral lands—backed by legal documentation and court decrees—have been unlawfully transferred to the land mafia through deliberate tampering of official land records. He asserted that the actions were not accidental or bureaucratic oversights, but a result of direct cooperation between corrupt revenue staff and illegal land occupants.
Despite filing numerous written complaints with the relevant authorities and making public appeals through the press, Abbasi said no meaningful action has been taken. He pointed to a growing trend of viral social media videos exposing misconduct by Patwaris and other revenue department employees, yet no corrective measures have followed—even in cases where inquiries confirm record tampering.
Abbasi warned that this pattern of ignoring court decisions and shielding those responsible represents a dangerous erosion of institutional integrity. “When court orders are disregarded and corrupt officials are protected, the public’s trust in the justice system collapses,” he said.
He has called on the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Chief Justice, and the Chief Secretary of Punjab to take immediate and decisive action. His demands include the enforcement of judicial rulings, restoration of original land records, and strict disciplinary measures against those found guilty of misconduct.
Abbasi concluded with a strong message about the disillusionment among overseas Pakistanis: “We send billions in remittances and invest in our homeland, but our hopes are crushed by such injustices. This must end.”
