Overseas Journalists Strengthen Bonds with Pakistan Media Community; Mudassar Chaudhry
PPC UK Hosts Visit of Senior Pakistani Journalist
Bradford UK -(Arshad Rachyal)- Mudassar Iqbal Chaudhry, Coordinator for the National Press Club Islamabad and Editor-in-Chief of a leading English daily, visited the office of the Pakistan Press Club UK (PPC UK) during his recent trip to Britain.
Upon his arrival, he was warmly received by PPC UK’s Senior Vice President Arshad Rachyal, Sheffield Region President Shafqat Mirza, Manchester President Ishaq Chaudhry, Senior Vice President Chaudhry Khalid Hanjra, Manchester Secretary General Dr. Azhar Mahmood, Yorkshire Secretary General Hassan Tahir, Information Secretary Raja Muhammad Tanveer, and senior journalists Israr Younis and Tariq Mahmood Rachyal.

Speaking on the occasion, Mudassar Iqbal Chaudhry expressed his delight at visiting a press club with which he has been associated for many years. He noted that under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the National Press Club Islamabad and Pakistan Press Club UK, he is also an honorary member — making this visit feel like a homecoming.
He praised overseas Pakistani and Kashmiri journalists for projecting Pakistan’s positive image around the world, calling them “true ambassadors of the nation.” Chaudhry emphasized that responsible and ethical journalism reflects the true spirit of any society and plays a crucial role in the progress and development of nations.
Officials of the Pakistan Press Club UK also addressed the gathering, stating that the organization continues to serve as a strong journalistic and cultural bridge between Pakistan and the overseas community. They reaffirmed their commitment to promoting positive journalism, public awareness, education, and cultural understanding — steering clear of negativity and sensationalism.
Speakers including Arshad Rachyal, Ishaq Chaudhry, Shafqat Mirza, and Dr. Azhar Mahmood paid tribute to Mudassar Iqbal Chaudhry for his valuable services as Coordinator for the National Press Club Islamabad. They expressed hope that cooperation between journalists in Pakistan and the overseas community will continue to grow stronger.
Towards the end of the meeting, special prayers were offered for the departed souls of Chaudhry Ali Adalat (Deputy Leader, Rochdale Council), Colonel (Retd.) Chaudhry Fayum, and Mudassar Iqbal Chaudhry’s maternal aunt, seeking forgiveness and eternal peace for them.
