Over 62,000 operations in 2025: Pakistan’s fight against terror continues
The data underscores Pakistan’s continued resolve in combating terrorism and highlights the sacrifices made by security forces and civilians alike in restoring peace and stability across the country.
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s security forces carried out an extensive counter-terrorism campaign in 2025, conducting 62,113 intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across the country — averaging 208 operations daily — as part of efforts to eliminate terrorist networks.
According to official data, a total of 4,373 terrorist incidents were reported during the year, in which 1,667 terrorists were killed. The country also witnessed 1,073 martyrs, including 584 from the Pakistan Army, 133 from other law enforcement agencies (LEAs), and 356 civilians.

In Khyber District alone, 514 incidents were reported in 2025. Counter-terrorism efforts in the region resulted in the killing of 77 terrorists, while 198 casualties were recorded — including 36 soldiers and FC personnel martyred and 138 injured, one police officer martyred and two injured, and 12 civilians martyred with 11 others injured.
