Over 6,000 Afghan Nationals Return Home: Report

The return process involved 176 vehicles transporting 234 families back to Afghanistan.

Islamabad: The repatriation of Afghan nationals residing illegally in various Pakistani cities is ongoing.

According to official figures, from July 15 to July 21, an additional 6,499 Afghan nationals have returned to their home country. This group includes 2,965 men, 1,658 women, and 1,876 children.

The return process involved 176 vehicles transporting 234 families back to Afghanistan.

As of July 21, 2024, a total of 659,653 Afghan nationals have been repatriated.

The presence of a large number of illegal residents in Pakistan had been linked to increased smuggling and extortion. However, it is reassuring to note that the joint efforts of the Pakistani government and military leadership have continued to facilitate the departure of illegal individuals from the country.
