KPK: Over 450 illegal connections disconnected under SNGPL crackdown. Sui-Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has accelerated crackdowns against thieves and disconnected more than 450 illegal gas connections in different parts of the Lower Dir.
Briefing the media persons regarding actions against gas thefts throughout the Malakand Division,the Incharge SNGPL Malakand Region Mirwais Khan has said that the ongoing actions against illegal connections had been expedited, during which more than 450 illegal gas connections disconnected in the current crackdown at Damamo, bandagy, awaliya Banda ,tangay, nakhtaro koto and shahgay areas of lower dir.
He said the operations are against illegal connections and gas thefts carried out by combined field teams from Swat, Batkhela and Dir early in the morning and disconnecting 4.5 KMs illegal network including more than 450 direct gas connections. FIR was registered against gas thieves in the relevant police station.
The raid was supervised by Incharge Sub Area Swat in Coordination with Exec.Engineer Batkhela & I/C CC Dir.
The raid was planned during last week in the most confidential manner and executed perfectly as planned.

The gas authorities advised people to report illegal connections to 1199 so that uninterrupted gas supply to consumers could be ensured.
It is noted to mention here that following an announcement by the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) that a “massive crackdown” launched against gas theft across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) was incorporated as a private limited Company in 1963 and later converted into a public limited company in January 1964 under the Indian Companies Act 1913 of British India, now The Companies Act 2017 of Pakistan, and is listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
SNGPL is the largest integrated gas company serving more than 7.22 million consumers in North Central Pakistan through an extensive network in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
