ISLAMABAD: More than 30 cardiac arrest patients are being saved each day in Karachi, according to the Sindh Integrated Emergency and Health Services.
The organisation reports positive outcomes from its emergency response efforts. One such case involved 52-year-old Ali Asghar, who collapsed at his workplace due to sudden cardiac arrest. He had arrived at the office as usual but lost consciousness during routine tasks.
Emergency services received a call on 1122, and a rescue team reached Nisar Shaheed Park without delay. After a 13-minute effort, paramedics restored Ali Asghar’s heartbeat and breathing.
Rescue worker Ibadullah confirmed the successful revival of the patient. According to him, quick medical response made the difference.
The service’s chief executive officer, Brigadier (Retired) Tariq, claimed that the system is currently saving over 30 lives each day in cardiac arrest cases within Karachi.
