It is accompanied by the Oppo Find X8s and X8s+, which we have covered in a separate article.

Design and Display

The Oppo Find X8 Ultra features a slim design, measuring just 8.78mm in thickness, making it one of the thinnest devices in the flagship category. Despite this slim profile, the device is durable, with IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance, allowing it to withstand water jets and immersion.

The 6.82-inch LTPO OLED display offers a resolution of 3,168 x 1,440 pixels (2K) and an adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate to help save battery. The screen also boasts a peak brightness of 1,600 nits, ensuring clear visibility under sunlight. The 10-bit color support ensures accurate color transitions, enhancing media consumption and daily tasks. The Find X8 Ultra comes in Matte Black, Pure White, and Shell Pink – all with smooth, matte surfaces on both the metal rails and the glass panels.

Internals and Software

The Find X8 Ultra is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, providing top-tier processing power. It offers up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, ensuring smooth multitasking and plenty of space for large files. The storage is based on the latest UFS 4.1 type memory for more efficient and faster performance.

The device runs ColorOS 15, based on Android 15, which improves the user experience with better multitasking, notifications, and personalization.

Cameras

The camera system has received upgrades, starting with the main camera, which features a massive 1-inch type 50MP Sony LYT900 sensor with an f/1.8 aperture for better detail and low-light performance. The two telephoto lenses are 50MP: a 70mm (3x) lens and a 135mm (6x) lens, both offering improved zoom functionality. The 15mm ultrawide camera captures wide-angle shots, although it features a slightly smaller sensor than its predecessor.

The 32MP front camera provides high-quality selfies with autofocus. The camera system also includes features like AI tone mapping and ProXDR, improving color accuracy and detail in various lighting. Additionally, the Find X8 Ultra supports 4K 120fps slow-motion recording and improved video quality.

Battery and Pricing

The Find X8 Ultra includes a 6,100 mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is nearly 20% larger than its predecessor while maintaining a slim profile.  The phone supports 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging, offering quick recharging times. This, combined with the efficient chipset, provides extended battery life.

The base model with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage is priced at $892. The 16 GB of RAM and 512G B storage model is priced at $960, while the high-end variant with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage is available for $1,099.
