OGRA Announces Revised RLNG Prices for April 2025 with Mixed Impact on Consumers

OGRA Revises RLNG Prices Amid Global Market Fluctuations

ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has issued a notification revising the Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) prices for April 2025, reflecting a mixed trend for the country’s two major gas distribution companies — Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC).

According to OGRA’s announcement, RLNG prices for SNGPL have been increased by 4.08%, raising the cost to $12.58 per MMBTU, which is 52 cents higher than the rate in March. In contrast, the tariff for SSGC consumers has been reduced by 1.06%, with the new price set at $12.59 per MMBTU, a drop of 13 cents.

OGRA stated that the revised prices are effective from April 1, 2025, and will be reflected in consumer bills for the current month. The changes have been attributed to fluctuations in global LNG markets and adjustments in Unaccounted for Gas (UFG) levels.

The update comes as part of OGRA’s routine monthly pricing revisions aimed at aligning local gas tariffs with international trends.
