OGDCL, PMYP, and NAVTTC Join Hands to Empower Youth Across Pakistan
Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), in collaboration with the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) and the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), has signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at empowering youth through skill development, employment opportunities, and community engagement initiatives.
The MoU was formally signed in Islamabad by MD/CEO OGDCL Mr. Ahmed Hayat Lak, Chairman PMYP Mr. Rana Mashhood Ahmed, and Chairperson NAVTTC Ms. Gulmina Bilal Ahmad during an official signing ceremony.
The partnership falls under OGDCL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) framework and will focus on collaborative initiatives in technical and vocational training, sports, environmental sustainability, and civic participation for youth, particularly in underserved and remote regions.
Speaking at the ceremony, PMYP Chairman Mr. Rana Mashhood Ahmed highlighted the program’s recent strides in education, employment, sports, and green initiatives. He termed the agreement a forward-looking step toward inclusive youth development and expressed his gratitude to OGDCL and NAVTTC for their shared commitment to national progress.
OGDCL MD/CEO Mr. Ahmed Hayat Lak reaffirmed the company’s strong focus on CSR and emphasized that youth empowerment and skills development are key pillars of OGDCL’s social investment strategy. He stated that such partnerships are essential for creating long-term, scalable impact aligned with national development goals.
Chairperson NAVTTC Ms. Gulmina Bilal Ahmad appreciated OGDCL’s support in advancing NAVTTC’s mission of workforce development. She noted that the collaboration will enhance mid-level skills training and capacity building, particularly in OGDCL’s operational areas. She reiterated NAVTTC’s dedication to implementing community-driven, employment-focused programs.
This strategic collaboration seeks to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity, fostering a skilled and future-ready generation capable of contributing to a more inclusive and prosperous Pakistan.
