OGDCL discovers oil and gas reserves in Sindh
ISLAMABAD_The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has discovered oil and gas reserves in an exploratory well named Chak-5 Dim South-3 in the Sanghar district of Sindh province.
The oil and gas reserves were discovered from a development cum exploratory well Chak-5 Dim South-3 which is located in the district Sanghar, Sindh province.

Based on the results of wireline logs interpretation, Drill Stem Test-1 in the massive sand has tested 2000 Barrels of Oil Per Day (BOPD) and 1.30 Million Standing Cubic Feet Per Day (MMSCFD) gas through choke size 32/64″ at Well Flowing (WHFP) of 994 pounds per square inch (Psi).
The said discovery shows the aggressive exploration strategy of OGDCL. The discovery has opened a new avenue and will mitigate the energy demand and supply gap from indigenous resources. The discovery will add to the hydrocarbon reserves of OGDCL and the country.
