Officials: Attackers infiltrate Federal Constabulary front lines.

Security forces respond after attackers breach a key facility in the region.

KP – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) -A group of suicide bombers drove a vehicle full of explosives into the main gate of a Federal Constabulary (FC) base in Bannu on Tuesday morning. The powerful blast allowed the attackers to get inside the facility, police officials reported.

This event is part of a larger pattern of violence in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) region. Over recent months, areas like Bannu, Peshawar, and Bajaur have faced many attacks, often focusing on local police officers.

A senior police officer, RPO Sajjad Khan, was at the scene outside the base. He confirmed that the attackers had entered the area and that a security operation was immediately launched to stop them.

Bannu’s top local police officer, DPO Saleem Abbas, is personally leading the operation inside the FC base grounds.

According to early information, security forces have stopped at least four attackers. The exchange of gunfire has injured five police officers so far. The senior officer stated that the operation is now in its final stages.

Heavy rains flood Buner; NDMA alerts residents with warnings

Last month, police and security forces conducted raids in parts of Bannu. They arrested 14 people accused of helping terrorists and destroyed their hidden bases.

Recently, violence in Bannu has increased. On August 3rd, a police officer was killed at a checkpoint. In that fight, three attackers were also killed. In July, terrorists used a drone to attack a police station for the fifth time in a single month.
