Observers’ Statements on General Elections Not Based on Reality: FO

Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahra Baloch has stated that many statements issued by observers regarding the elections do not accurately reflect the facts.

During a weekly briefing for journalists, Zahra Baloch informed that the Foreign Office had already issued statements regarding the elections. Pakistan is a democratic country where people have the freedom of expression, and it is the right of Pakistani citizens to freely exercise their vote.

She further stated that the Election Commission was monitoring all electoral processes. Transparency in electoral processes in Pakistan was discussed by the Joint Declaration of the Commonwealth delegation in Pakistan. The media reports regarding the elections would not be commented on.

Regarding the invitation to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the swearing-in ceremony of the new government, Zahra Baloch said that the matter is premature. The decision will be made by the incoming government, and Pakistan will act as per the instructions received.

“India involved in extra-judicial killings in Target Killings outside South Asia,”

Regarding the involvement of India in target killings in Pakistan, Zahra Baloch stated that the country where the plan for the killing of Pakistani citizens was made, Pakistan is in contact with them. Progress is being made with the third country regarding the cases of other Pakistanis killed by India in target killings.

Zahra Baloch informed that in the past as well, India has been involved in extra-judicial killings in Pakistan.

Regarding the arrest of Indian citizens in the United Arab Emirates, Zahra Baloch said that those arrested in Qatar were retired officers of the Indian Navy. Similarly, an officer of the Indian Navy, Kulbhushan Yadav, was arrested in Pakistan. No comment will be made on this matter; it is a matter between two countries.

The spokesperson said that India is involved in target killings outside South Asia and is also involved in human rights violations.

“Pakistan will always raise its voice for the people of Kashmir,”

Speaking about occupied Kashmir, Zahra Baloch said that India cannot establish its identity by throwing money in Kashmir. The National Security Agency (NSA) of India raided the offices of Jamaat-e-Islami in occupied Kashmir all over the country on February 10, and we strongly condemn it. Pakistan condemns the actions of India against the Kashmiris.

She said that Pakistan wants a solution to the Kashmir issue in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiris and the resolutions of the United Nations. Pakistan will always raise its voice for the people of Kashmir.

“Pakistan demands to stop the massacre of Palestinians,”

The Foreign Office spokesperson said that Pakistan strongly condemns the Israeli aggression in the Rafah area. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has also warned against Israeli aggression. Pakistan demands action on the Charter of the United Nations and the cessation of the massacre of Palestinians.

She said that in the Rafah area of Gaza, countless people have become homeless, and Pakistan has always raised its voice for the people of Gaza. Many countries have also stopped aid to Palestine.

Pakistan is in talks with the Afghan government regarding the terrorist organizations involved in terrorist activities. She said that Pakistan has repeatedly said that whenever credible information about terrorist organizations is available, action will be taken.
