Army Chief Ensures Minorities Their Sacred Sites Will Be Rebuilt as a Top Priority
Punjab – (Special Correspondent /Web Desk) – Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Asim Munir, visited areas in Punjab badly affected by recent floods. He went to Sialkot, Shakargarh, Narowal, and the important Kartarpur religious site.
His visit was to see the flood damage and check on rescue and relief work. He was given a full update on the current situation and plans for more expected rain.
The Army Chief praised the soldiers and local government for working together tirelessly to rescue and help people in need.
He also met with local Sikh families affected by the floods. He promised them that all damaged religious places, especially the Kartarpur Durbar Sahib, would be fixed quickly and returned to their original state.
He stated clearly that it is the duty of Pakistan and its institutions to protect all minorities and their holy places. The country is fully committed to this responsibility.
The Sikh community warmly welcomed the Army Chief during his visit to the flood-hit areas.
They thanked him and the armed forces for the crucial help provided by the army and local officials during this natural disaster. The Army Chief also viewed the Kartarpur site from the air.
