NPAC Meets DG ISPR, Pledges Unity Against Terror Narratives

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – A delegation of the National Peace and Advisory Council (NPAC) met with the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) at General Headquarters, reaffirming its full support for promoting Pakistan’s national narrative. According to an ISPR statement, participants expressed firm solidarity with the armed forces and a united stance against anti-state propaganda.

During the meeting, NPAC representatives strongly condemned Fitna al-Khwarij, the TTP and the Afghan Taliban, declaring that terrorism has no religious or moral justification. The DG ISPR stressed that national unity and a shared understanding on security issues are critical in the current environment.

Detailed discussions were held on internal security challenges, with both sides agreeing on the need for a coordinated response to extremist threats. The DG ISPR also reiterated Pakistan’s principled position on Kashmir and Gaza, emphasizing that standing with oppressed peoples is a moral duty of the state.

To strengthen internal harmony, the NPAC announced a countrywide initiative aimed at promoting unity, tolerance, social harmony and constitutional equality through mosques and religious platforms. Both sides agreed on adopting a zero-tolerance approach toward hate speech, sectarianism and Takfiri ideologies.

The DG ISPR highlighted that public awareness and factual narratives are key tools in countering psychological warfare. NPAC further proposed expanding awareness sessions in mosques, madrassas and universities to reinforce the national narrative. Both sides described the meeting as productive and expressed optimism about enhanced cooperation built on trust.
